Today you'll find that many engineers and designers are beginning to consider using the ancient art of feng shui. This practice focuses on the most artful way to place furnishings, accessories, and even buildings to allow positive energy to flow through one's life. You might ask, why would such an ancient art be so popular today, with our emphasis on reason and science, can there really be a place for an ancient art like feng shui?
We should remember that feng shui is not simply an art although that term does apply. There are no specific and unbreakable rules about how to employ feng shui, so as with any art you are free to interpret the best way to use it. Yet in addition to this there are many scientific principles used in this practice. One example is that it encourages the removal of clutter from rooms in your house, as clutter can block the flow of energy. Interior decorators and home designers also recommend and encourage rooms to be as clutter free as possible, because clutter throughout the house can cause one to feel frustrated, or even depressed.
Feng shui also tends to emphasize how color is used, for example using bright colors like orange or yellow are good choices for high energy rooms like the kitchen. In a similar way, these principles recommend that we use warm colors like green or brown in places where want to emphasize relaxation and culminating, like the bedroom or living room.
Both biologists and scientists have known for some time the fact that different colors can affect our moods. It has been shown that bold, bright colors can spark your energy, while dark colors can make us feel depressed. While feng shui may not be based all years and years of scientific research, it is interesting to note that these principles were developed long before science study to the question.
People are very interested in the aspects of this ancient art that can contribute to helping them increase energy in their lives. Feng Shui Tip #2
Want to improve your romance? First, clean up your home and free it from clutter. This is because a messy or cluttered room does not promote proper flow of chi. Instead it will leave it stagnant and stale. |
Feng Shui Tip #3
Bedroom, for most of us, is for rest and relaxation only. Hence, do not bring work into the bedroom as the stress of work will permeate the feeling of harmony and make your love life stressful. It is also advisable not to work out in the bedroom as well since the strain and exertion of your exercise could remain and affect your love life. That is Feng Shui Bedroom for you.
