In the practice of feng shui the five elements play an important role inside and outside the home. A feng shui tree can represent the element wood, seen as offering balance and a representation of new life. Additionally, trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, supplying the air that everyone needs to survive. A feng shui tree is chosen as one that requires very little pruning as any extensive trimming is said to decrease the fortune the trees, especially money trees, are designed to attract.

Trees should never be planted in a position in which they can block the flow of chi into the home. A feng shui tree in front of the front door can route the flow of positive energy away from the home and leave the area open for negative energies. The money tree, usually a pachira, are known to be and excellent feng shui tree as its five leaves represent the five elements in feng shui, wood, water, fire, earth and metal.

Large open areas in the home are good places to plant a feng shui tree, and if planted in a pot, the dirt in which they grow is considered to attract good chi as one of the five element, earth. Occupants need to avoid changing the natural shape of the tree and placing the indoor plant anywhere it could block the chi's flow.

Only Live Plants Used As Feng Shui Trees
When using trees indoors for feng shui, only live trees should be used. Dead, or artificial trees represent death and will attract bad chi. Fire, of course is the ultimate yang, or negative energy flow, and while represented by candles or the color red in many feng shui environments, need to be present with a feng shui tree to help achieve balance with the five elements.

Earth tone colors are also important as representative of wood and planting a feng shui tree in terra cotta planters is an ideal balance between wood and fire. When planting a feng shui tree outdoors, it should be placed in an environment conducive to attracting good chi while routing the yang away from any entrances.

Remember when choosing a feng shui tree, it should be of a species that will continue to grow, but not one that will grow so large as to require considerable pruning or shaping. Maintaining its natural shape is the right way to make it attractive to good chi and to attract or increase wealth, in the case of having a money tree in the home or business.

Feng Shui Tip #1

Most of us would easily relate feng shui to the practice of achieving harmony with the elements and the environment through proper placement and arrangement of space and matter. However, do you know that feng shui can also deal with abstract like love or romance.

Feng Shui Tip #2

Want to improve your romance? First, clean up your home and free it from clutter. This is because a messy or cluttered room does not promote proper flow of chi. Instead it will leave it stagnant and stale.

Feng Shui Tip #3

Bedroom, for most of us, is for rest and relaxation only. Hence, do not bring work into the bedroom as the stress of work will permeate the feeling of harmony and make your love life stressful. It is also advisable not to work out in the bedroom as well since the strain and exertion of your exercise could remain and affect your love life. That is Feng Shui Bedroom for you.
