One of the primary concerns that most parents have is that their child receive a good education. Most parents also realize that there is more to a child’s success at learning than just sending them to school. Parents must be involved in the child’s learning process for the child to receive the maximum benefit from their efforts.
For a child to get the most from their educational studies, the parent must provide a suitable home atmosphere which stimulates the child and helps to arouse his curiosity so that he will want to learn. One of the easiest and most beneficial things you can do to help your child learn at home is to use feng shui to improve your child’s learning ability by incorporating it in his room.
Feng shui is of Chinese origin, and is an age old technique which uses the design and arrangement of our surroundings to properly channel the energy which surrounds us. The Chinese refer to this energy as “chi”. When using feng shui to improve your child’s learning ability, you may see a noticeable improvement in his grades. This will be because you have made his room a positive area for the flow of energy, which in turn boosts learning power.
If you would like to try feng shui to improve your child’s learning ability, you can follow a few of these suggestions to give the maximum benefit for your child.
The first thing that you should do is to provide a place for serious study. You can do this by providing the child a proper desk to work on. The placement of the desk is important. It should not be up against a wall, leaving the child to look at a barrier. It is much better to have the desk facing toward the bedroom door so that he may see anyone who enters the room.
Around the desk, you should create a learning area, by providing things which will stimulate the child. By keeping all of your child’s study books in one centralized area, it makes the distinction that it is indeed a study area. Be certain that the study area has ample lighting. If you really intend to use feng shui to improve your child’s learning ability, you should also have the study area facing the north east. According to feng shui, the north east is the direction of learning and wisdom.
The wisdom corner of the room is to the northeast. You should place a world globe in this corner, as well as any maps that you feel appropriate. It is also suggested that you place a crystal in the northeast corner, to sharpen the child’s mind.
It is also suggested that you remove the television from your child’s room, if there is one, as it can be a distraction to the learning process. Children also tend to watch television rather than going to sleep, which can make them feel tired during critical learning time.
