The primary goal of the centuries old Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui is to achieve a harmonious living and working environment. The ancient belief says that both living and inanimate objects, including the Earth and everything throughout the universe, contain energy, which is referred to as chi.
Mastering the art of Feng Shui is said to bring about better health, personal wealth and enrichment, as well as an innate sense of inner peace. Use the following Feng Shui tips to improve your life and achieve positive balance.
Free Your Home of Clutter
One of the very first things new practitioners learn is that a clean home is equal to a clean soul. If you rarely use an item, technically it should be considered "useless" and discarded, recycled, or stored out of sight. To start getting organized, use empty boxes labeled with trash, donations, and storage, or any other category you can think of, and begin the process of clearing out each room one by one.
Too often we tend to hold onto things from the past, although some of those items are indeed positive and beneficial to our present life, such as cherished family heirlooms, others may represent negative events or times in our lives that are best left behind.
Open the Windows
To keep fresh air circulating throughout your home, open the windows, which also represent opportunity, as often as possible, particularly on cool, windy days. This simple act allows new energy to refresh the home, remove the stale air and energy, and bring a sense of rejuvenation to all of its occupants.
Healthy, colorful plant life placed in every room also helps to create an energetic atmosphere in the home as greenery represents life and continued growth.
Know Your Own Soul
One of the most vital aspects of Feng Shui is to connect with and know your own true soul on both a universal and spiritual level. If our exterior world is out of balance and filled with chaos and disorder, that inevitably carries over to our inner selves, disrupting everything from our state of mind, our thought processes, how well we sleep at night, even how quickly our bodies heal.
Modify Your Sleeping Position
One of the Feng Shui practices that is often overlooked by those who are new to the art is the importance of modifying sleeping position and habits. Imperative for relaxation, inner peace, and for restoring our supply of energy, sleeping is regarded as the absolute most important time of day.
How we sleep, including the nature of our surroundings, directly affects the quality and how well rested we feel in the morning. According to the theories, if we aren't sleeping in the correct position, chances are we will awaken feeling considerably more tired than we did the night before.
To find your best position, experiment sleeping while facing different directions, using a compass to be certain of your location. The position or direction you feel most comfortable in, or awake from the best night's sleep, is how you should base the rearrangement of the furniture, referred to as "the art of positioning."
By implementing these easy, but rather important Feng Shui tips, you will have the ability to improve many aspects of your life, uniting both body and soul with the most harmonious and suitable environment for inner peace, well being, and positive energy. Feng Shui Tip #7
While you can place an indoor water fountain in any part of your home to attract whatever you want in your life, you should keep water features out of your bedroom. Such water features can lead to loss in different aspects such as money and relationships. |
Feng Shui Tip #8
Trim your plants regularly if you have a garden. This is to ensure that they do not cut out the yang energy from the sunlight. Big plants tend to create too much yin energy. |
Feng Shui Tip #9
Have a cut crystal ball at your window that gets direct sunlight. This will cause bright brilliant rainbow to be formed in your room. If placed at the South Western corner of your house, it can bring great relationship luck to you.
