Feng Shui Office

Have you ever found your productivity plummeting while you're at the office, but you have never understood the cause? Have you ever felt completely drained of energy and unmotivated to do even the easiest tasks at work and not able to figure out the reason? It's likely that the way your office is designed is sabotaging your effectiveness. Fortunately, there's a way to reverse the trend and fix the problem. This article will describe how you can design a feng shui office to increase your productivity, have more energy and get more work done each day.

Tip #1: Use Plants Properly
Many people say plants are always good, but that's not necessarily true. The key is in how you use your plants to create an environment within your office. First, if any of the plants in your office are dead or dying, get rid of them. Feng shui celebrates the vitality of life and these things will inhibit that. Second, use plants sparingly in order to open up space. "Chi" energy is a primary component of feng shui and that energy needs space to flow freely. Try to avoid allowing plants to use excess space. Also, make certain that plants don't infringe on the open space near your doorway.

Tip #2: Don't Turn Your Back
Most offices are designed so your back is facing the doorway when you're seated. This is a feng shui mistake. Opportunity comes through that doorway and you should be facing toward it in order to meet any opportunity that presents itself. Try to face the doorway while you're seated at your desk. If that isn't possible, at least try to have your side facing the doorway.

Tip #3: Get Rid Of Junk
Every office has its share of useless junk. Sometimes, that includes stacks of paper that you'll never address. Other times, it can be too many picture frames that clutter your workspace. Some executives even have model airplanes or antiques littering their space. Remember, "chi" needs uncluttered space to flow properly. Get rid of as many useless things as you can from your office.

Tip #4: Represent The Elements
Even a small office can be designed to represent elements such as water, fire, earth and wood. Once you have cleared the clutter from your office, find small items that you can use to embody nature. For example, you can place a small rock garden on a shelf to represent the earth. A plant or bonsai tree can represent earth and a small sculpture can express wood or metal (depending on the materials used to build the sculpture.

A feng shui office can be designed to soothe your nerves, make you more productive and fill you with natural energy so you can get through each workday more efficiently. By using plants properly, facing your office doorway, getting rid of clutter and embodying the elements, you can create a feng shui workplace environment that fuels you and boosts your energy level. Not only will you feel more relaxed, but you'll likely become a more effective employee.

Feng Shui Tip #7

While you can place an indoor water fountain in any part of your home to attract whatever you want in your life, you should keep water features out of your bedroom. Such water features can lead to loss in different aspects such as money and relationships.

Feng Shui Tip #8

Trim your plants regularly if you have a garden. This is to ensure that they do not cut out the yang energy from the sunlight. Big plants tend to create too much yin energy.

Feng Shui Tip #9

Have a cut crystal ball at your window that gets direct sunlight. This will cause bright brilliant rainbow to be formed in your room. If placed at the South Western corner of your house, it can bring great relationship luck to you.
