If you have certain needs in your life and are seriously considering using feng shui as a means to fill those needs, then there are a few things you should know before you begin. Feng shui is all about the placement of items in your home or office to maximize the flow of energy in the room. The Chinese philosophy of feng shui states that all things radiate energy, or “chi”, and the manner in which we manipulate our surroundings play a significant role in how this energy affects our lives.

According to feng shui, the flow of energy throughout the room is affected by color and placement of all the objects in the room. Some items which may be in the room is thought to have adverse effects on the natural flow of chi. Any items which have sharp corners (also referred to as secret arrows), open beams across the ceiling or in the corners of the room, and ceiling fans are all considered detrimental to the flow of chi. These items are believed to interfere with the positive flow of energy, which in turn affects many aspects of our lives.

The ceiling fan is an appliance that is adored by many, especially those living in warmer climates. However, ceiling fans and feng shui have a bit of a conflict with one another. The fan is essentially a large set of turning blades, which is thought to give out chopped and erratic chi, which can be upsetting to the chi of anyone who happens to be under the ceiling fan. Most feng shui professionals suggest that ceiling fans be removed altogether, however there are times when that advice is unwelcome, or simply not practical.

If you have a room with a ceiling fan, for feng shui purposes, there may be a couple things you can do to minimize the negative effects. First, do not have any beds or seating placed directly under the fan. This will minimize the chopped energy being sent directly down to anyone. Secondly, hang a round 40mm faceted crystal ball directly beneath the ceiling fan. The crystal will help dissipate the negative energy waves created by the rotating blades. You may want to look for a plastic faceted crystal ball, because the large 40mm true crystals could cause potential harm if ever they should fall off the string.

Feng Shui Tip #1

Most of us would easily relate feng shui to the practice of achieving harmony with the elements and the environment through proper placement and arrangement of space and matter. However, do you know that feng shui can also deal with abstract like love or romance.

Feng Shui Tip #2

Want to improve your romance? First, clean up your home and free it from clutter. This is because a messy or cluttered room does not promote proper flow of chi. Instead it will leave it stagnant and stale.

Feng Shui Tip #3

Bedroom, for most of us, is for rest and relaxation only. Hence, do not bring work into the bedroom as the stress of work will permeate the feeling of harmony and make your love life stressful. It is also advisable not to work out in the bedroom as well since the strain and exertion of your exercise could remain and affect your love life. That is Feng Shui Bedroom for you.
